How SmartRates Makes Money
SmartRates is a free financial calculator and comparison website. We receive fees for clearly labeled sponsored placements. Google AdSense display ads are not currently enabled. We may enable display advertising later. We do not charge users for any calculator, tool, or content on this site.
Sponsored Placements and Affiliate Links
SmartRates receives fees for sponsored placements. Paid sections are labeled “Sponsored” where they appear, and links within them are identified as sponsored in the page markup. We do not currently receive affiliate or referral commissions when readers click product links, submit applications, or open accounts.
A paid placement is separate from our independent product comparisons. Sponsorship does not determine calculator formulas, defaults, or editorial rankings.
How Google AdSense Works
Google AdSense ads are not currently enabled on SmartRates. If they are introduced, Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. We will update our privacy and consent information before enabling ads.
Your Ad Choices — How to Opt Out
Sponsored sections are labeled on the relevant page. Automated display ads are not currently enabled. If personalized display ads are enabled later, you can manage personalized ads at https://adssettings.google.com and control cookies through your browser settings. This will not affect access to any SmartRates calculator.

Sponsors may supply or review the wording of their labeled sponsored placement. Sponsorship does not determine independent editorial comparisons, ratings, or recommendations outside that placement. Our calculators use standard financial formulas independent of any advertiser.
